Georgia State University was well represented at Congressman David Scott’s Tenth Annual Health fair, held Saturday, August 16 at Mundy’s Mill High School in Jonesboro.
Dr. Susanna Greer and her lab staff from GSU’s Center for Inflammation, Infection and Immunity in the College of Arts and Sciences were among several scientists to participate in this year’s event.
This event featured free health screenings and information provided by the region’s leading healthcare providers and organizations. Free health screenings included: Prostate cancer PSA; Clinical breast cancer exams; HIV/ AIDS; Diabetes (glucose); Blood pressure; Asthma; Cholesterol; Mental health; Memory (Dementia); Sickle cell; Vision; Dental; and many others. Special veterans services and mortgage assistance was also provided.
